Dick Travers

Profile: Dick Travers

In 1976 I started my career in financial services with Lloyds Bank and took redundancy from my role as Senior Manager of Winchester branch in 2001.

In 2001 I assisted, as a Trustee, in the creation of a Hampshire wide charity devoted to giving older people the opportunity of social contact and meeting new friends. By 2006 the charity had grown to 50 clubs with 1,500 members meeting at regular weekly intervals. The charity has now been merged with a larger charitable organisation with the aim of providing clubs nationwide.

I am now directly registered with the Financial Services Authority and have been providing advice as an Independent Financial Adviser since 2002.

I believe passionately that everybody deserves first class, truly independent financial advice. Advice is not about selling things. If the best advice is ‘to do nothing’, then that will be my recommendation. If a change to your financial arrangements is my recommendation, I will explain why I believe it is the best strategy for your situation.
